You were always there, the true gent always pleased to see us no matter how long it had been since the last time we met up. Unfortunately as the years went by the times we met up became fewer. I have a wonderful memory of you going out of your way to take me home when I was studying for my MSc in Manchester. I was feeling homesick & wanted to be near family, Manchester was a long way from Earls Barton. I'd only gone to Luton for my BSc so popping home wasn't a problem & there was always family around. Anyway there was a family 21st in Bacup & I decided to do & managed to get there. After a great party you made a detour the next day to take me home to my lodgings. You didn't have to but that was the sort of person you were. Would always help anyone if you could. You are much missed but will always be remembered.
