I will always remember Bernie as a true character, but a real everyman at the same time. He always had a friendly greeting and time to chat whenever I came to your house, even if he was tired after a long day at work. I remember him becoming hooked on playing his gameboy, his penchant for rather loud trousers, and his love of nicknames (not going to mention what he used to call me!) He was a lovely man, I am so sorry for your family's loss, and I hope you can get through the days ahead xx
